Copycat Bakery Butter Buns

What's better than waking up to the smell of fresh buns warming in the oven? You can make your own Copycat Bakery Butter Buns at home with this simple recipe. Awaken your family with this great breakfast recipe. It's a winning treat that you can top with your favorite jam or jelly. They're also great with a little dollop of Nutella on top.

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 teaspoons dry yeast
  • 1/3 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup scalded milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 4 1/2 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Place the yeast in a small bowl and add the water. In large mixing bowl combine sugar, butter, salt and hot milk. Stir to combine and then let cool to lukewarm.

  2. Stir the eggs and yeast into the sugar mixture. Gradually add flour beating well after each addition.

  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and satiny, this will take about 5 minutes.

  4. In a large lightly greased bowl add the dough and cover with a tea towel. Place in a warm spot and let rise for about 1 hour until doubled.

  5. Form into 15 rolls and place on a greased 11" pan and let rise for another hour. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees F until golden brown.
