Bakers Square is a brand of chocolate and I never knew that they were known for an old fashioned coconut cream pie. My Mother was an immense fan of coconut and she would have loved this recipe.

Recently I have been on a binge for "cream" pies and I have had them all from strawberry to banana but I have yet to try a coconut version. I am a fan of coconut but it is not my go to in any food. This recipe is a plus because I can use a store purchased pie shell. I have never been good with the pastry part of baking.

there seems to be a layer of chocolate pie between the coco nut cream and the pie crust. if it is where is it in the recipe?
