Our friends at Monkey Business have designed two great new kitchen tools. The Lid Sid is a "guy" you attach to a pot in order to let steam out while cooking. The Hug Doug is another "guy" that wraps around a spoon to keep it upright in a pot. Both of these handy kitchen products will save you frustration in the kitchen and give you a giggle while cooking dinner.

Many recipes call for letting steam out while simmering. This can be quite the balancing act, but the Lid Sid will solve this! Simply slide "him" between the pot and lid, voila! The lid will naturally rest with a small opening to allow steam to escape without lossing too much heat.

The Hug Doug is a dream come true. How many times have you been stirring something, only to put the spoon against the pot, and have it fall in? You will never again have to fish in a pot to find the spoon that fell in! Not only is this gadget super useful, but it is also quite cool looking. "Doug" literally hugs the spoon like it is holding on for life.

These tools are both made with silicone, ensuring they can withstand high heat without the risk of melting. Both of these simple, yet adorable, and quite handy tools, make for great gifts. They are perfect to put in stockings at Christmas or give with a basket of useful kitchen gadgets. Of course, you will want each of these for your own home too! They will be a great talking point when guests come over and give you a smile whenever you are in the kitchen.
