This is NOT a Monte Christo Sandwich. A Monte Christo DEFINITELY has ham as well as Turkey. It has no Onion soup mix or onions at all, nor does it have any Dijon (dip or whatever). It usually came with yellow cheese, but I always asked for swiss instead. The sandwich then was dipped in a batter/french toast-type of batter appears to be deep fried due to the puffiness of the batter. And it is served with a dusting of powdered sugar came with Raspberry Preserves as the dipping sauce. The Copycat version of Monte Christo Sliders - is closer to a Monte Christo than this, with the exception of the bread (white or wheat bread v.s. Hawaiian Bread). I SOOOO miss Bennigans for the Monte Christo Ultimate Loaded Baked Potato Soup!!!

I am sure it should have ham in it and raspberry jelly for dipping.i am sure it had ham in it and raspberry jelly for dipping when I had it at Benniigans.
