"I have been making fried cabbage for over 50 years. Actually my mother taught me the recipe over 60 years ago. I always use about 2 1/2 lb. of bacon when I make mine. I simply fry my bacon and then boil the cabbage. I don't use spices because the bacon is flavored by the bacon. I make this for church socials family meals (with only 5 family members when I make it we eat it for a week but no one complains.) That is all that it takes to make this hearty and filling dish"

"Thanks for the recipes and the memories! I can't for the life of me remember the name of the place that made them or even the name of the sandwich itself, but way back in the 80s I loved to order a small sub that was cooked on a grill right in front of you. It had ham and a little pineapple that was chopped up as it was cooked then served on a toasted bun with lettuce tomato and mayo. There was probably another ingredient as well, but my old brain can't seem to find that file!"

"Chicken Rezala- Deliciously creamy gravy wrapped with exotic flavored masala, This Bengali style chicken rezala is a mouth-watering and a relishing dish you should have if you are an avid chicken lover! Traditionally a Mughlai Cuisine and has become a very popular Bengali recipe. Chicken Rezala or chicken korma is a semi gravy dish made with all the desi raw spices and has an aroma of cooked chicken with cooked onion and spices. A perfectly balanced dish (neither too sour nor too sweet) in taste, it is the best pair up with rice or bread."

NotesMarinate the chicken before 1 hour at room temperature with curd, and cashew nuts and poppy paste.

Use fresh yogurt, not sour one, it may soil the texture and taste of the dish, you can add sugar to curd to remove the sourness.
