Candied Bacon, does life get any better than the day you make candied bacon. I'm definitely going to take Edmund K's advice and use thick cut bacon...good lookin' out. I'm thinking of making Monte Cristo Poppers for when friends come over to watch the World Cup on Sunday and I think this candied bacon is going to pair up perfectly with it. I love it when a menu comes together.

This is a great recipe to have in reserve. My normal use for bacon is on sandwiches or with eggs, but the first time I tried candied bacon in chocolate, I was hooked. I never thought two such different tastes could go so well together. Not mentioned in the recipe, but an important thing to keep in mind is to use thick cut bacon. The results just aren't the same with regular bacon. It really needs to be thick for the recipe to work well.

I showed this recipe to my oldest son and his response was Oh great! There goes the diet! He loves bacon, and this is such an easy recipe to make that he can make it whenever he wants. I love the suggestions list included with the recipe. Thanks for sharing!

My boys love bacon and with it having brown sugar yum. I will have to make some and put on salads maybe waffles and try some on cupcakes. So fast and easy. What a great way to show off your talent b making cupcakes and adding some on top. Your friends and family will think you are a master chef or sprinkle some on a salad. TA DA.
