Cooking Time5 min
Ingredients
- 1/2 large head of cauliflower
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream or milk
- 1/2 tablespoon chopped parsley
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 cup finely grated parmesan cheese
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon chili paste
- 1 tablespoon Swerve granular
- 1 teaspoon sriracha
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
-
To make your bang bang cauliflower, you’ll start by adding your egg and heavy cream to a small bowl.
-
Beat the egg mixture until well combined.
-
In a separate larger bowl, add the almond flour and parmesan and lightly mix together with a fork or whisk.
-
Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
-
After cleaning your cauliflower, cut it into bite-sized pieces and you can begin coating each piece.
-
Dip each piece of cauliflower in the egg wash, letting any excess mixture drip off.
-
Next, dip the cauliflower in the breading mixture and apply a bit of pressure so that it sticks.
-
Set the coated cauliflower on the prepared baking sheet and repeat with the remaining cauliflower.
-
When the cauliflower is all coated, pour enough oil into a pot so that it’s filled about 1 ½ inches up the pot. Turn the heat on and let the oil come to about 350 degrees.
-
Once the oil is hot enough, place a few pieces of the coated cauliflower into the oil, tossing them until they are golden brown on all sides.
-
Remove the cauliflower and place them on a baking sheet lined with paper towels.
-
While the cauliflower cools, make the bang bang sauce by adding the mayonnaise, chili paste, swerve granular, sriracha, and lime juice to a small bowl.
-
Whisk the sauce to combine all the ingredients. Drizzle the sauce over your bites, garnish with parsley, and enjoy!
