"I have been making fried cabbage for over 50 years. Actually my mother taught me the recipe over 60 years ago. I always use about 2 1/2 lb. of bacon when I make mine. I simply fry my bacon and then boil the cabbage. I don't use spices because the bacon is flavored by the bacon. I make this for church socials family meals (with only 5 family members when I make it we eat it for a week but no one complains.) That is all that it takes to make this hearty and filling dish"

"Thanks for the recipes and the memories! I can't for the life of me remember the name of the place that made them or even the name of the sandwich itself, but way back in the 80s I loved to order a small sub that was cooked on a grill right in front of you. It had ham and a little pineapple that was chopped up as it was cooked then served on a toasted bun with lettuce tomato and mayo. There was probably another ingredient as well, but my old brain can't seem to find that file!"

"This recipe for Cafe Style Candy Bar Pretzel Brownies is perfect for when you have candy that’s leftover from Halloween, Christmas or any occasion. Why not dump it into a brownie batter? You probably have seen a similar brownie at a favorite dessert cafe or deli. They sell them wrapped up individual and are so yummy. Well, I copied that idea and made these this past weekend. My son went to a birthday party and had a bunch of Hugs and small bags of pretzels. I add whatever I already had in the house and you can see how colorful and delicious these brownies look. They taste even better. Enjoy an occasional indulgence like these gooey and fudgy brownies. Made with a brownie mix, can’t get any easier!"
