Cake Boss Bistro Mixing Bowl Set

: Cake Boss

Reviewed by Arielle Matlin, Editor,

The Cake Boss 3-Piece Mixing Bowl Set has a perfectly retro aesthetic that will have you twirling around in a white apron, flour adorably smudged on your cheeks. In all seriousness, these mixing bowls are adorable. The design alone will give you a case of the gimme gimmes, with the classic hometown bistro color scheme and fonts.

Each sized bowl has its own inspiring catchphrase. “Whip,” “stir,” and “mix” are pretty accurate descriptions for what you'll do with these sturdy mixing bowls. They are nesting bowls, as all mixing bowls should be, so there's plenty of room in your cabinet for them when stacked; they are 1, 2 and 3 quart bowls.

I wasn't sure what kind of strangely resistant material these mixing bowls are made from, so I looked it up. They are made from the very durable “melamine” which makes them top-rack dishwasher safe. They were very easy to rinse clean. Although the design reminds me of an old-school bistro or bakery, you can use these for any kitchen purpose.

There are grips on the bottom of these bowls, which keeps them from sliding around when you're putting some arm muscle into mixing. If you have an electric mixer, it will take less effort to hold everything in place.

I really love the old-fashioned look of these. They make me want to put on an apron and bake a whole bunch of cookies. If you need an inspiring aesthetic from your kitchenware, these cute retro bowls are made for you. Plus, you can't beat that they are easy to clean.
